- The depot has a total storage capacity of 50,000 cubic metres
- Gasoline – 13,000 cubic metres
- Gasoil – 37,000 cubic metres
Terminal operations
- The Depot was originally designed to receive products by River Barges from the Akosombo Depot.
- At the landing jetty at Buipe product is pumped through a 10km 6-inch uni-directional pipeline into the tanks
- The Depot has a discharging facility to enable receipt of product by BRVs
- Product transfer from Buipe to Bolgatanga is via an 8-inch 261km multiproduct pipeline
- Loading is done with five (5) loading arms
