A civil engineer by profession, Mr. Ato Amissah Wilson, started his career with the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited in October 2005, as a Project Engineer. Over a period of six years, Mr. Wilson was responsible for managing the construction of over 190,000m3 of petroleum products storage infrastructure at various locations in Ghana including the Bolgatanga, Buipe and the Accra Plains Depots of BOST.
Additionally, Mr. Wilson was a key player in the roll out of BOST’s mandate as the Natural Gas Transmission Utility (NGTU) from the outset. In 2015, Mr. Wilson assumed the role of Manager, Technical and Compliance with a focus on ensuring BOST’s compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements for the design, construction and operation of BOST’s petroleum infrastructure.
He has also served on several committees including National Infrastructure Plan (NIP) Committee of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), the Petroleum Sub-committee of National Technical Committee on Metrology and Measurement, the Gas Masterplan Implementation Committee, the Petroleum Hub Implementation Task Force and the Rural LPG promotion committee. Also, Mr. Wilson has served as a resource person at major industry events including the Ghana Gas Forum and the Energy Summit.
Mr. Wilson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the K.N.U.S.T, a Master’s degree in Oil and Gas Management from Coventry University (UK) and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers, the Project Management Institute (PMI) and also a British Government Chevening Scholar
